Learning to learn

Talking about learning to learn it’s often easy to focus on formal education that takes place during childhood or during our school experience. Nowadays learning is an ongoing process that takes place throughout life and isn’t confined to the classroom or physical location.

Our team of the PLACE project consider learning as the long process of acquisition of information, knowledge, and skills in different ways. It’s something that not always is intentional and that many skills can be learnt thanks non formal and informal experiences. +

MOOC

EdX, Coursera, Skillshare are some of the most used online platform for learning new things. During the pandemic many people decided to enroll to become a new student-user. These platforms know as Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs) are free online courses available for anyone. MOOCs provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, advance your career and deliver quality educational experiences at scale. You can basically study everything: African studies, Leadership, Financial, VideoGame, Python, Wellbeing, etc.

At International level, MOOC are known as a tool to achieve goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda for Suitable Development. MOOCs are a form of free open education offered through online platforms. Due of this potenciality People Leadship in Assessment Competences and Empowerment (PLACE) will produce a MOOC as second output of the project. Our MOOC will support teachers, tutors, and coordinators to understand how to use the kit. The PLACE MOOC will be available for free in Europe. It will be accessible in English, Italian and Greek languages.
